Mike Stokes, PLS, founded Stokes Surveying & Mapping in 2012 and has over two decades of experience in land surveying across North Carolina. His background spans roadway and bridge staking, stream relocation, and large-scale corridor and development projects.

Tony Flores is a licensed Professional Land Surveyor with an associate degree in Surveying Technology from Wake Technical Community College. He brings experience in NCDOT construction and inspection, topographic surveys, and general land development work both in the field and in the office.

Anthony Pope serves as a construction survey manager and oversees construction staking for commercial, residential, and public projects. With more than 20 years in the industry, he provides field calculations, quality control, and client coordination to keep every project running smoothly.

Josh Hepler holds a degree in Environmental Science from NC State University and supports drafting and topographic deliverables in the office. He also manages residential construction projects and leads the company’s UAV mapping program.

As the first full-time hire at Stokes Surveying, Hunter Fowler is a dedicated and hard-working field crew lead with specialized experience in subsurface utility location and mapping. Using advanced locating equipment, he identifies and maps underground utilities to support accurate design and conflict avoidance.

Reign Stokes has been on the team for over three years, overseeing company operations and daily coordination across all active projects. She manages scheduling, client communication, payroll, and invoicing, while maintaining contracts, certifications, and mapping records.

Nathan McDaniel manages the office and marketing for Stokes Surveying & Mapping, PLLC. He supports project coordination, client communication, and digital systems while developing tools and materials that improve workflow efficiency, visibility, and outreach across the company.

Josh Green serves as a party chief with a background in forestry and education from NC State University’s forestry program. He leads our tree survey efforts, providing precise DBH and species data projects.

Ricky Hoffer is a seasoned crew chief with more than two decades of experience in land surveying and construction layout. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, he brings leadership, precision, and a strong work ethic to every project, backed by technical expertise in Civil 3D, Trimble, and Carlson software.

Neil Cooper has extensive experience in boundary surveys, topographic work, DOT projects, and construction staking on major roadway and bridge improvements across North Carolina. A military veteran with OSHA-10 certification, he brings precision and safety to every job.

Alex Sowers has been with Stokes Surveying & Mapping for six years, starting as a rod man and working his way up to junior party chief. He specializes in residential construction layout and produces detailed plot plans for new home sites.
